OF AYDEN

God is love and whosoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 1 John 4:16

MISSION STATEMENT:
HOMEPLACE addresses loneliness primarily in the elderly and those living alone by creating conditions spurring them to reconnect with others through verbal interactions, activities and love.

VISION:
Partnering with small communities to establish centers specifically designed to reconnect lonely elders with society by putting God’s love into action.

We are so excited to announce that we had our official groundbreaking on Wednesday October 9. Our Ayden Mayor, Steve Tripp , Commissioner Ivory Mewborn and so many of our friends and neighbors attended as well as Laura Todd, our director of the Ayden Chamber of Commerce.  God certainly blessed us with Ernest Silver singing and dedicating this property to God.We will begin building Monday October 14 and are so blessed to have Bill Kidd Construction Company working with us on this ministry project.

We have almost completed the renovations on the homeplace on the property and our contractor for that should be finished by the end of the month.Yard landscaping is the next project.

HOMEPLACE OF AYDEN, GOING BY THE NAME HOMEPLACE IS PROJECTING AN OPENING DATE OF WINTER  2020 AT 3815 EMMA CANNON ROAD, AYDEN. N.C,

WE WILL BE A DAY GUEST FACILITY FOR THE ELDERLY AND THOSE LIVING ALONE IN OUR COMMUNITY WHO ARE LONELY AND DESIRE INTERACTION WITH THEIR PEERS,BUT DON’T REALLY HAVE A PLACE TO GO AND JUST FELLOWSHIP.

We all need sometimes to just have someone to talk to and be appreciated and we desire to provide that kind of atmosphere for this special group of people. We will at the onset be open three days a week, 10 am-5 pm at no cost to those who come. Our guests can spend a few hours with us or all day.We will provide a bright cheery atmosphere with lots of hugs and encouragement, a rocking chair porch, gardening opportunities, movie afternoon, crafts, inspirational music, a prayer walk area, conversational seating areas. library, snacks, and whatever else we can think of to make our guests smile and be happy. We all know someone who can benefit from what we will be providing at HOMEPLACE.

We are a nonprofit in N. C. and now have FEDERAL STATUS AS A 501c3 CORPORATION. We are now able to accept donations and will shortly be presenting an opportunity for those in our community to come on board as sponsors whether it be a onetime gift, a reocurring monthly gift, a memorial gift for a rocker for our porch, a set of chairs for our conversations areas, or a sponsor for one days operation. WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Our vision FOR THE FUTURE is to go into other communities and help them set up similar settings for the elderly. We covet your prayers and help as we begin our remodeling project and especially look around you and see who you know that we can bless at HOMEPLACE. We can accommodate approximately 30 guests at one time in this facilitybut have room to grow. We are excited to be able to provide, with your help, this much needed center. in our community.
